Fire or Fireman

Look, I really appreciate all your zeal over in the fire management department but I’m just wondering, who made you the fire marshall? When did it become your job to monitor every fire that’s burning on the landscape of your life to fight some and fuel others. The problem is you keep throwing fuel on fires that I’ve been trying to contain at great cost to you and others around you for some time. Dont you realize that your words alone can burn things to the ground. Then there are other fires that I’ve tried to kindle with you repeatedly but every time I get something going you’re standing there with a bucket of water because you’re so afraid that things might get out of control. It looks like you have plenty of your own fires burning out of control, why are you so afraid of a fire I might want to start with you and in you. It would really help a lot if you could stop fire fighting on your own terms and start doing it on mine. The truth is the fire around you isn’t even the real issue, it’s only the fire in you that really matters. if you’d just let me burn in you and through you the way I want to, all the other fires around you would take care of themselves, then you’d be doing what I intended for you in the first place. Being the fire instead of the fireman. Now wouldn’t that be something. Give it some thought and let me know, I can bring the marshmallows.
